Dr. Rachel Lindberg, a Kansas native, completed her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Kansas State University in 2005. After graduation she did an undergraduate internship at Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida. This experience exposed her to a referral hospital as well as all types of horses and disciplines. She then went on to veterinary school and graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2010.

Dr. Lindberg made the decision to become an equine veterinarian at the age of ten, and never looked back. When she was fourteen she bought her first horse. Over the years she worked at an equine treadmill and for several different veterinarians adding to her experience and desire to pursue equine medicine. After veterinary school she interned at Myhre Equine Clinic in Rochester, NH and Montana Equine Medical and Surgical Center in Three Forks, MT. She is excited to continue her career in private practice at Southside Equine Services.

Dr. Lindberg enjoys all aspects of equine practice. When not working she enjoys riding her two paint horses, watching Kansas State and Kansas City football, reading, and her two cats.
